Clients at Pilates North Sydney
Meet Kim and David who started pilates at Corepower Pilates since the second week of opening! Collectively they have taken over 200 classes!! It has been a pleasure to teach them pilates and see them progress into pilates superstars! We asked this pilates power couple a few questions about doing pilates at North Sydney.
What made you take on a pilates program?
K: Pilates was recommended by my physical therapist to help recover from knee surgery. I enjoyed it so much and continued after I was healed.
D: I started pilates to improve flexibility and core strength.
What do you like most about Pilates?
K: I love the flow of movement and variety of exercises using different apparatus. Pilates is challenging but not exhausting.
D: I like feeling taller and improved core strength after a pilates class.
What benefits have you seen?
K: The benefits I have seen from pilates is increased core strength, flexibility, body awareness and mental clarity.
D: The biggest benefit I have seen from pilates is definitely core strength.
Challenge you are working on?
K: Increasing my lower ab strength.
D: Maximising the results from 1 class per week.
Advice for people thinking of starting?
K: For people thinking of starting pilates I recommend investing in some private sessions first to learn the fundamentals and proper technique.
D: Commit – stick with it and results will follow. If you would like to start pilates, if possible do a solo class (or quieter growth class) initially to learn the movements/ names etc.
